Antioch Groups

Antioch Groups are the key way to connect and be encouraged to grow spiritually at Antioch Bible Baptist Church. While a large Sunday morning service provides a great opportunity for corporate worship and teaching from the Word of God, it is in smaller gatherings that friendships develop and people’s needs can be met. We believe spiritual growth flows out of two basic commitments:

• A commitment to God and the Bible.
• A commitment to significant Christian relationships.

To help develop these significant relationships, we have created “Antioch Groups.” It is our goal for every member of our church to be involved in an Antioch Group. While most groups meet on campus, some meet in homes throughout the Kansas City area. Most of our groups are divided by stage of life: single, young married, parents, empty nesters, retired. For those who enjoy a blending of generations, we have groups open to people of all ages.

Men's Ministry: AMEN

AMEN exists to exhort the men of ABBC to discover that their purpose is to glorify God and to fulfill it by becoming fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

The Men's Ministry includes Fall and Spring weekly studies and fellowship; caring for the poor through a monthly ministry at City Union Mission; Fall and Spring Car Care Days that provides free oil changes to widows, single moms, and wives of deployed servicemen; and other special events. Every growth or serving activity is designed to create an opportunity for men and young men to be encouraged and trained in their role as spiritual leaders in their home, church, place of business and community.
 

Women's Ministry

The WOMEN’S MINISTRY is designed to help women grow and connect. Women will have the opportunity to grow in their walk with God and connect with other women in Life Groups, Coffee Connect and special events.

Life Groups are offered through out the year and provide an opportunity for women to learn and grow from a biblically-based study or book.

The Widows Group of Antioch meets once a month (on the 2^nd Saturday of the month) for fellowship and encouragement.  Our meeting locations change each month, so please contact Nancy Baier at (816) 436-1649 for details about our next upcoming meeting.

Shut-In Visitation:  Once a month, a group of women visits those who are home-bound and not able to attend church on a regular basis to encourage and pray with them.  We meet in the church lobby on the 2^nd Wednesday of the month at 9:45 am and go out in pairs to make visits.  If you are interested, contact Nancy Baier at (816) 436-1649.

Young Adults: ACTS

ACTS is “Antioch Career and Twenty-Somethings.”  Join us on Sunday evenings at 6:30pm in Kreeger Hall for a time of fellowship and Bible Study. Attending the 5:00 worship service before is a good option. We also have regular activities and an annual retreat.

Seniors: Young at Heart

This group of seniors meets at noon on the last Wednesday of each month in the Worship Center. It is a time of fellowship, lunch, music and ministry program. The meat and drinks are provided and attenders share covered dishes. A free-will offering is received to offset the cost of the meat. There are occasional special trips and other outings.

Dick and Marie Hotchkiss lead this ministry.
