Day 3 - Higher Purpose

It’s Thursday, the best and most colorful day of camp! Why? Because it’s OMC day, Organized Mass Chaos, THE highlight whole-camp game of the week where kids compete silly task cards which often include water balloons, shaving cream, or maybe singing the alphabet backwards! And it’s colorful because all day long each grade is dressed in their color — Yellow (3rd) Green (4th) and Blue (5th) — and then the leaders all wear Orange no matter what grade we’re in or how old we are, whew!

But before OMC there’s Breakfast, Time Alone With God, I Can’t Wait, Bible Study, and Rec-Time! At CentriKid we play more by lunch than most people play all day! 🎉

Weather permitting we will be playing OMC outdoors, otherwise it’ll get moved indoors. Outdoors OMC is sooo much better though since we can get wet and messy!

At I Can’t Wait Luke moved on to the second command in our theme verse where we learn to live with a Higher Purpose, to love others as ourselves.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is, Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other command greater than these." - Mark 12:30-31 CSB

Because OMC is so central to today I won’t have many pics of today until later when I can get photos of all the kids in their teams… before and after they get messy of course. (cue: mischievous laughter). However, because it happened so late while I was back at the dorm working on yesterday evening’s post, included below ARE a few pics from last night’s Minute to Win It games!
