Day 5 - Higher Mission: The Gospel
Well, it’s the last morning of camp and soon we’ll be headed home!
The final “higher” focus of the week is our Higher Mission: The Gospel — to place our confidence in it ourselves and to be good stewards of it in bringing it to others, whether directly or through supporting churches and ministries that do. I am so grateful for Antioch’s vision to be part of The Gospel: Leading Generations to Make Disciples of Christ.
Each day the camp ends with a “what now” so I want to finish this blog out that way as well.
So… what now? What happens after camp?
For the believer it’s to live out the truth of the gospel, to be a part of the body of Christ to grow and lead others.
For the unbeliever it’s to think on these things and yield to the conviction of the truth of them.
Finally, thank you so much for trusting your kids to us for an entire week. It’s an absolute privilege to play a role in the spiritual growth of these kids — We’ve been doing this camp for ~16 years and it’s already become at least a 3 generation ministry of kids, and parents and grandparents as leaders. I don’t confess to fully know how God works in all of this, only that we obey to seed and water The Gospel and trust God for the growth in his perfect timing.
See you soon!
