Day 4 - The Author of Joy
Do you know the difference between happiness and joy? I’ve heard it described that happiness is based on happen-ings. Joy is rooted in purpose, meaningful connection, and persists even in difficult times — not dependent on external circumstances and can persist in midst of challenge. Today’s focus is on God as the Author of Joy, that only in Him do we find a firm foundation that persists no matter the circumstances… because we know the end of the story.
Oh, and did you know that today is OMC day!!?? What’s OMC you say? New here? OMC = Organized Mass Chaos = the ultimate game of the week, with all grade-teams competing for the Golden Can of Shaving Cream!
I love OMC day because all the campers are wearing their grade-team color and some are even dressed up a little crazy!
